The founder and creative force behind Renaissance Productions is Kevin McLaughlin. After studying Communication at Seton Hall University, he went on to earn a Master’s Degree in TV & Film from the prestigious Newhouse School at Syracuse University. From there, he went to work in a small broadcast television station in New Jersey, where the standard approach was for everyone to do everything. Kevin excelled at not only technical roles, like camera work, audio recording, and video editing, but in the creative areas of writing, producing, and directing. When people started referring to him as a “Renaissance Man,” he found a name for his company, and he hasn’t looked back since.

Over the years, he’s produced not only hundreds of videos for corporate clients, but also TV pilots, short films, documentaries and plays, winning many awards and accolades along the way. He recently acted as an editor on two high-profile TV shows, 48 Hours on CBS, and Big Dogs on Amazon Prime. He’s been a part of numerous independent feature films and TV shows, and brings that sensibility of quality story-telling to every project he’s involved with. He personally oversees all of Renaissance’s productions, along with a team of collaborators gathered over many years in the production trenches. He’s worked with Presidents, Senators, CEO’s, rock stars, Oscar winners, and ordinary people. He considers them all equal when endeavoring to tell their stories.
